About Sydney Laser Dentistry
Our intention is to provide progressive world-class, minimally
invasive dentistry for all our patients in a caring, safe and happy
environment.
Chosen Technologies:
At Sydney Laser Dentistry we have chosen to utilise the technology of
Biolase. This company is listed on the NASDAQ. All the treatments used
by Sydney Laser Dentistry have been ratified by the FDA and TGA in
Australia.
Our Use of Laser Technologies:
Treatments chosen to be performed by laser have been deemed to have an
advantage to the patient over traditional therapies, some of which we
believe are no longer the gold standard of care. We strongly believe
that lasers used in certain situations obtain more optimum results than
old fashioned treatments. We can not use lasers for every dental need
simply because they were not designed for that treatment. For example,
we cannot remove amalgams with the laser, we have to rely on the drill,
however, we can use the laser to provide analgesia so that the procedure
is less painful and there may not be a need for injections. After the
removal of the amalgam the tooth will be finished and prepared for a
better bonded restoration using the laser.
